Erin Kenneally, hereafter "Seller," the breeder/owner of the Australian Shepherd puppy (described above) and , hereafter "Buyer," do enter into an agreement for the purpose of transferring ownership of the puppy.

The purchase price of this puppy is $800: $200 to be paid as a deposit and the balance of $600 to be paid at the time of transfer of ownership. The Buyer agrees to accept ownership and responsibility for the puppy.

Registration papers with ASCA and the AKC are included as part of this agreement. The Buyer will pay the registration fee. The puppy’s registered name shall include "DesertFlower" at the beginning of the name. No other prefix or suffix will be used without written permission from the Seller. The Buyer agrees to provide the Seller with pictures of the puppy at six months, one year, and two years of age. Failure to register the puppy before 1 year of age will result in forfeiture by the Buyer of any, and all, guarantees. The Seller makes no guarantee that this dog will attain Championship, Obedience, or Stock titles, as the care, upbringing, training and handling methods needed to achieve the above titles are beyond my control.

The Buyer certifies, by signing this contract, that he is not acting as an agent in this purchase and that he will not resell, or otherwise give up ownership, of the puppy. If the Buyer ever wishes to sell or give up this puppy, he will contact the Seller, in writing, before taking any

action. The Seller retains the right of first refusal at a purchase price no more than the original purchase price for the puppy. If the dog is still breeding stock (i.e. no health problems) and has completed a Championship in either AKC or ASCA, the purchase price will be no more than $1,200. If the dog is still breeding stock (i.e. no health problems) and has completed a Championship in both AKC and ASCA, the price will be no more than $1,400.

The Buyer certifies, by signing this contract, that the puppy will live with the Buyer, be confined by a fenced yard, will have adequate exercise, nutritious food, and necessary healthcare, including yearly vaccinations. The Buyer also certifies that the puppy shall be given adequate and proper housing and shade, shall not be kept tied or chained for any length of time, and shall in no way be mistreated.

IF MALE: The Buyer may use this dog as a stud dog provided the following criteria are met:

The bitch’s hips must be checked and found free of Hip Dysplasia by OFA or PennHIP

The bitch’s eyes must be checked and found free of any congenital eye defects by a veterinary ophthalmologist within one year of the breeding

The chosen stud must have his hips checked and found free of Hip Dysplasia by OFA or PennHIP

The chosen stud must have his eyes checked and found free of any congenital eye defects by a veterinary ophthalmologist within one year of the breeding

The chosen stud must be registered with ASCA and/or AKC.

The Seller is consulted

Any puppies are to be sold with a health guarantee and puppy contract, and no puppies are to be sold to a retail store, puppy mill, or auction.

If PennHIP is done, the bitch must be least 18 months of age and/or on her second heat before being bred.
