Rusty is owned by the Laubach Family

Hi Erin,

    Well, Rusty is almost two years old now and we are just enjoying him so much!  He is the proud owner of our 3 year old little girl named Hannah and our 9 month old baby boy named Ethan!  You were right when you told us that he would be protective of them.  Especially our 9 month old!!!  Even as a puppy he never jumped on our children.  He has always been so gentle and sweet.  The other children in the neighborhood come over after school just to play with Rusty out front.  They love it that Rusty obeys commands and never jumps on them unless invited.  
    He is so beautiful too!  We have him professionally cleaned every three to four weeks and the ladies at the salon fight over who gets to clean him.  They never have to tie him down!  We are just so proud of him, I could go on and on...  We were considering putting him through obedience training in the beginning, but as we worked with him at home, we found that he learned quickly and eagerly!!!  We found out that we didn't need to put him through training after all.  
    I know this sounds strange, but Rusty understands English.  We ask him to go outside, and he goes...  We ask him to go check on the children while they are sleeping, and he does...  We ask him to walk beside us at the park and not stray, and he does...  He even plays with the children and allows them to climb on him and roll on him.  He enjoys it.  When our 9 month old is down for a nap on a little bouncy seat on the floor, Rusty has to rest his head on our son's lap for his nap too.  This has become routine!  
    We are just so glad that we bought him when we did!  At first we weren't sure with a two year old and a newborn, but it was the best decision we could have made.  Our children love him and so do we...   Thank you for preparing him for the first 8 weeks of his life.  He has the sweetest temperament.  We will send you pictures as soon as we can.
